Create! Magazine is pleased to announce an open call for the Spring 2017 print issue juried by Bridgette Mayer.
Create! Magazine is an independent publication for artists, makers, and creative entrepreneurs. Our mission is to promote fresh, unique work of creatives from around the world. Each issue is filled with vibrant contemporary art, craft, design, and inspiring stories of the makers behind it. The magazine is released bimonthly in a limited edition print and digital format.
ELIGIBILITY: Artists are welcome to apply with works in any medium: painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, installation and more. Artists from all countries are welcome to submit.
DEADLINE: January 29, 2017
GUEST CURATOR: BRIDGETTE MAYER
Bridgette Mayer is an art dealer, author, coach, speaker and entrepreneur. She opened the Bridgette Mayer Gallery on Philadelphia’s historic Washington Square in 2001 and represents artists from around the world, specializing in contemporary painting, sculpture and photography. She has been featured on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 as a small business “On The Rise” and was recognized as a recommended Philadelphia arts destination in The New York Times Magazine. Recently she was named one of the top 500 Galleries in the world by Blouin ArtInfo, and was also featured in the Tory Burch Foundation’s “Women To Watch” series. FEE: $25 for 3 images, $30 for 5 images (non-refundable)
WHERE TO PURCHASE: Copies will be available at several locations including McNally Jackson Books in NYC, our online store and more.
SELECTED ARTISTS: Artists selected by the guest juror will receive a 2-page spread including a brief bio, website, and 2 images in print and digital formats. Published artists will receive a complimentary digital issue and will be listed on our website/social media.
