About the exhibition:
Exodus is a two-person exhibition featuring the works of Alexandria Eregbu and Alfredo Salazar-Caro. This first-time collaboration addresses the artists’ personal interpretations of flight, im/migration, and belonging. Through sculpture and architectural objects they tackle the physical and intangible limitations of controlled space, employing materials such as sand, steel, shuttle hurdles, and fencing. Virtual simulation and unconventional installation heighten the viewer’s experience as they visit the gallery.
This exhibition was the winning submission for the Arts + Public Life’s 2015 Exhibition Open Call. It is presented by Arts + Public Life with support from the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture.
